INTERMEDIATE DEVELOPER:

Has to have descent knowledge around writing SQL statements (Candidate needs to be fluent in SQL)
Must have at least 2 – 3 years DTS experience or have played with the new SSIS.
Must have built and maintained OLAP cubes in Analysis Services 2000 [2 – 3 years’ experience] (Have explored the new Analysis Services 2005 environments)
Needs to have developed reports and have a general understanding of Reporting Services 2005.
Needs to have a fairly good understanding of database design, and the normalization of data structures [1 – 3 years’ experience] (Meaning the candidate must have been part of the process of designing a database schema)
If the candidate has filled a Database administrator role, then this is a bonus [1 year experience] (Would be nice if the candidate is aware of some of the internal workings of SQL Server)
Needs to have good Microsoft office skills.
Needs to have logical thinking and an analytical mind.
Needs to work well in a team.

SENIOR DEVELOPER:

Has to have solid knowledge around writing SQL statements (Candidate needs to be fully fluent in SQL, stored procedures, triggers, cursors and general scripting)
Must have at least 4 – 5 years DTS experience and have worked with the new SSIS.
Must have built and maintained OLAP cubes in Analysis Services 2000 [4 – 5 years’ experience] (Have built cubes in the new Analysis Services 2005 environments)
Needs to be fluent in reporting services 2005 and have developed reports and have a general understanding of Reporting Services 2005 (Not a critical concern however if the candidate has this, it’s a bonus)
Needs to have a very good understanding of database design, and the normalization of data structures [3 – 5 years’ experience] (Meaning the candidate must have developed a schema and facilitated a team effort)
The candidate needs to have some Database administrator experience [1 – 3 years’ experience] (Needs to be comfortable with some the internal workings of SQL Server)
If the candidate has a sound foundation behind project management and the effort incurred then this is a bonus.
Needs to have good Microsoft office skills.
Needs to have logical thinking and an analytical mind.
Needs to work well as a team leader.
